1. Why is the idea of studying the mind was rejected by behaviorist?

• Behaviorist believe that internal behavior cannot be studied because we cannot see what happens in a person’s mind.

2. How does cognitive psychologist study the internal mental behavior?

• Cognitive psychologist study the internal mental behavior by making human experimental psychology based on attention, language, memory, perception, problem solving.

3. Based on the early study made by Glanzer and Cunitz(1966), why do participants tend to recall more from the beginning or the end of the list fewer from the middle?

• This is the primacy/recency effect. It happens becaus primacy words are well rehearsed and encoded in long-term memory, recency words are still in the Rehearsal Loop whereas middle words are displaced by recency words because of the limited capacity of short-term memory.
